Overview

Sofa Remote is a mobile remote control app for Android TV and Google TV devices. The app is designed to work on your local network and does not require an account.

Data Stored Locally

The app may store the last selected TV device, paired remote identity, app shortcuts, favorite devices, favorite channels, and connection preferences on your device. This data is used only to make the remote easier to use.

Local Network Access

The app scans your local network to discover compatible Android TV and Google TV devices. Device names, IP addresses, service names, and ports may be processed on your device to connect and send remote commands.

Advertising

Sofa Remote may use Google AdMob to show ads. Google and its partners may process data such as device information, advertising identifiers, approximate location, app interactions, diagnostics, and ad performance data, depending on your consent choices and platform settings.

In regions where consent is required, the app may ask for advertising consent before showing personalized ads.

Data We Do Not Collect

Penela Digital does not require you to create an account and does not intentionally collect names, email addresses, passwords, TV viewing history, or messages through Sofa Remote.

Third-Party Services

The app may use Google AdMob and related Google Mobile Ads services. Their data handling is governed by Google's policies and your consent choices.
